| • | How is everyone?
Hey there everyone. I do not have a lot to say at this time. I would prefer not to talk about April. All I have to say is it is a new month and we are thankful for it.
Be patient. I think by the end of the season we will be right where we want to be.
Talk to you soon.

| | • | Just an update and some cool stuff coming up...
Well, Thanksgiving is over and now the Mattingly family is getting ready for Christmas. We are trying to keep things pretty simple and keep it the way it is supposed to be. We are dealing with the cold weather now too here in
Indiana . Trying to keep ourselves warm and our horses at the barn warm has been a bit of a challenge. The weather has been good though, in a way, we enjoy it.
Not too far from now I will be getting back into baseball, figuring out who is going where and gearing up for spring training. I am staying fairly busy.
It is an exciting time for Mattingly Baseball, we are moving forward with a lot of our products. We are proud of the whole thing and hope we can get it integrated into the younger leagues. Getting into high schools and colleges is great too. This handle I designed is a great tool for kids. I know they will hold it properly and grasp the fundamentals of hitting.
Also,
Shannon will be offering the entire product line on my website very soon. Ask him if you have questions.
I am also very excited about the book we have coming out in the spring. The book is about hitting. I am not much on doing books, but the idea was to wrap up all the fundamentals of hitting into one book. I hope this simplifies the thought process of what hitting is all about. This will give you a simple base to work on. When I talked to so many people growing up I would always get confused, so I hope this book simplifies things and roles it all in one nice package. I thought I would mention those things as I am very excited about them. The book will also be offered on my site in both a signed and unsigned version.
Thank you all for having patience with me on getting these blog posts out. I hope you all are doing great and the Mattingly family wishes you all a very Merry Christmas!

Greetings Mattingly Fans!
I had quite a few of you asking if we would be offering an RSS feed here. I had no idea there would be that many people interested. With that said, we should have it available in the next few weeks. Bare with me, once again.

| | • | This year compared to last year?
Often times I am asked the question, "How do you think we are setup this year, going into the playoffs, compared to last year?"
My answer...
I think we are a lot better. We have been able to clinch earlier, give our guys a little time off, and setup our pitching. We have some guys back from injuries and have been able to get them playing time to ensure they are ready for the playoffs.
Personally, I think we are ready and I hope we play our best. Let's hope our best baseball will be in the coming weeks.

| | • | My thoughts on this season...
Hey everyone!
Since this is my first blog post I wanted you all to know that Shannon, my website guy, is typing all this, but it is coming straight from me.
With that out of the way, I wanted to sharre some thoughts on this season...
This has been a very satisfying season considering that our early season injuries gave us lots of doubt about our club being able to compete. We had a lot of guys step up. Derek has had the best year since I have been back here and has been tremendous all year long. Jason put another solid year together. Contrary to popular belief, Alex has had a solid year as well. Johnny has been a great addition. Melky has shown everyone he belongs here. George has had the best year since I have been back as well. Bernie is a champ, and has had a tremendous year for having to play part-time. He has also kept us going in the right direction while we had a few guys injured earlier in the season.
We have also had contributions from a number of guys coming up from the minors. Guys that have went back and forth who have given us contributions every time they came up. It has really been a team effort. We also had solid pitching all year long.
It has been a terrific experience.

| | • | Welcome to Don's Blog!
Welcome Mattingly Fans!
I hope this turns out to be of value to you, the fans. Don and I have spoken about this blog and hope to make it fun and interesting. My intent is to have Don address a topic selected from E-mail sent to me, from you, or any topic Don sees fit at the time. Some of you may have questions that require further input to a topic recently covered. Don may choose to answer a few of those questions in his next contribution to the blog. All topics from Don will be typed by me, but will be all his own wording. When I interview him I will be typing his inputs for him.
Occasionally, I may also use this blog as a method of communicating news to you as well as the use of the Mailing List. If you have not signed up for Don's mailing list you can do so at the top of any page of his site, and it is free.
Thank you all for being patient through this process. I do have Don's first contribution to the blog and hope to prepare and submit it sometime tomorrow, or I guess I should say today, it is getting late.
Take care everyone, I will be in touch.
Regards, Shannon Amos
